Lance Portman graduated from Hamilton College in 1980 and obtained his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law in 1983. He is admitted to practice before the New York State courts, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Portman represents secured and unsecured creditors in all chapters of bankruptcy. His clients include municipalities, financial institutions, insurance companies, charitable organizations, trustees, businesses, both large and small, and individuals. Mr. Portman began his career with a boutique law firm in Beverly Hills, California before returning home to the Hudson Valley, where for the past 35 years he has been a creditor’s attorney in bankruptcy matters.
