Kiera Meehan focuses her practice in all areas of civil litigation, including premises liability, motor vehicle liability, property damage, dram shop, roadway design, drainage design, wrongful death, defamation, and negligent supervision of students. She has also successfully defended civil rights cases involving claims of false arrest, malicious prosecution, employment discrimination, and violations of free speech. She is a seasoned litigator, who appears frequently in the New York State appellate courts.
Ms. Meehan graduated cum laude in 1999 from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She earned both a J.D. and an M.S. degree in Mass Communications in 2003 from Boston University, where she served as a staff member of the Public Interest Law Journal and penned the note: Installation of Internet Filters in Public Libraries: Protection of Children and Staff vs. The First Amendment.
Ms. Meehan is admitted to practice law in the New York State courts, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern District of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
