Ms. Jones received her undergraduate degree, cum laude, in Business Management from Binghamton University where she was a member of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Scholars Program. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Tulane University Law School, where she was inducted into the Order of the Coif. She is admitted to practice before the New York state courts, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

 

Ms. Jones focuses her practice on the representation of municipalities and commercial clients. She has considerable experience in civil rights, police liability, employment, construction litigation, as well as contract drafting and negotiation, corporate and partnership disputes, business torts, employment disputes, restrictive covenants, unfair competition, and electronic data and cyber-related issues. She also counsels and defends clients in federal, state, and local regulatory matters.

 

Ms. Jones is the 2022-2023 President-Elect of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of New York Chapter. She is a Super Lawyers’ Rising Star, recipient of the Schnep’s Power Women in Business Award, and was featured in Long Island Business News as one of 2019’s Women Leaders in Business. Prior to joining Sokoloff Stern LLP, she was a partner at a large Long Island law firm, and an associate at two large international law firms, where she defended and managed all stages of trial litigation.
